RWB Porsche 930

RWB. RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF. It is a car tuning company owned and operated by Akira Nakai and is known for their specialization in older Porsche cars.

RWB is right up there with Liberty Walk. Both these tuners take their work off the charts. While Liberty Walk has been known for tearing up and then riveting wide-body kits for a host of different cars (but think Ferraris and Lamborghinis), RWB has come to specialize on Porsches. Still, the wide-body kits that they put on these cars are bordering on crazy.

This Hot Wheels creation is based on a Porsche 930. It gets the full RWB treatment with the huge front and rear fenders. And you really can’t miss the enormous wing at the back of the car. Completing the RWB touch is the crazy rear setup. The 930 loses its rear bumpers and in its place is a maze of exhaust pipes snaking its way out three ways. A nice touch is the racing windows where only a small hatch is left open for the occupants. It comes with RR6SPM wheels with a chrome lip and rubber tires. This is because the car is part of the Car Culture series called Silhouettes. So yes, these are running on Real Rider wheels. While the car looks pretty dope with that matte black paint job, the contrast of the gold RWB livery on the windshield and sides give it just enough oomph for standing out even more. This being from a Car Culture series means that it gets the added bonus of detailed headlights and taillights as well.

I did not buy the whole Silhouettes series as I was only after this particular car. But with it on my desk now, I’m pretty tempted to get some of the other cars in the series as well. Or not.
